NFL owners voted on a rule change Tuesday that will require players to wear knee and thigh pads starting in the 2013 season. The NFL announced the decision at the owners’ meetings in Atlanta.
Some players have elected not to wear knee and/or thigh pads because they believe the pads slow them down.
